Salary Excellent/Negotiable plus bonus/generous uncapped OTE and benefits
Based in the South East of England, ESS Recruit’s client is a successful consultancy that specialises in helping technology companies maximise their performance in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). They are a unique reseller that provides a catalogue of consulting services to help independent Software Vendors (ISVs) grow and accelerate their business, including Technical, GTM and Investment services.
Reporting into the CEO, the company is now seeking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth within key target markets; customers are global and the pipeline of potential clients is currently from all over US and EMEA. The business shall soon be opening offices in US and Asia Pac, at this time the role is more likely to focus predominantly with EMEA customers. Mainly Office or Home based this role will occasionally require international travel. Key responsibilities will include:

- Build a strong, robust and repeatable pipeline of opportunities through to a close.
- Working with marketing to build and execute targeted campaigns into defined areas of the target market.
- Penetrate and build relationships with customers and in target markets to uncover and build new opportunities.
- Reporting against pre-agreed sales metrics.
- Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Representing the business at industry events.
- Maintaining an accurate pipeline within internal systems.
- Considered to be a cloud solutions specialist, preferably working with or for AWS and/or associated partners and AWS support businesses.
- Sales Process Proficiency and experience of using a sales methodology.
- Comfortable with data-driven decision making.
- Proven track record of selling and demonstrating Cloud solutions into mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Demonstrable knowledge of key target sectors.
- Proven track record of negotiation and closing in a Cloud and On-Premise product environment.
- Comfortable collaborating in the development of key job metrics and of meeting stretch targets.
