MANAGING QUANTITY SURVEYOR
BASED DUNFERMLINE

Based in Fife, ESS Recruit’s client is a household name product manufacturing business. They have a proud history of innovating products and leading their sector for over 40 years, working in the New Build and Refurbishment sectors. The business continues to grow and evolve and they now need to make the key hire of a Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will support the on-going growth in these sectors by further developing every aspect of the commercial proposition from pricing strategy and Bid management, through contract negotiations, to financial control.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be part of the senior management team tasked with delivering on-going growth within the target sectors. Key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- The on-going development of an estimating team in pursuit of industry leading technical competence, pricing accuracy and efficiency.
- The development of processes designed to ensure the accurate and rapid conversion of enquires to production ready orders.
- The development and execution of our contract negotiation principles.
- The financial management of contracts including valuations, final accounts and dispute resolution where required.
- The on-going personal development of a team of graduate Quantity Surveyors.
- The development and execution of contract specific pricing strategies based on in-depth competitor, market and supply chain knowledge.
- The development of an efficient and effective Bid management process for Public Sector tender enquiries.
