Based in Livingston, ESS Recruit’s client comprises of a group of European companies engaged in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of analytical systems, life science equipment and laboratory instruments with operations dating back to 1920.  They design, develop, supply and support Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry product lines for a range of markets including forensics, food quality, environmental, pharma and life sciences.  The company maintains a global infrastructure to support sales around the world.
They are currently looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to join the Marketing Department.  This is a great opportunity to join an established global business.  In return they can offer excellent financial rewards, career development prospects and flexible working hours.  You will support the marketing, product management, and applications teams and focus on handling digital communications across a range of digital platforms. You will be connecting and communicating with existing and new customers via website, email, e-newsletters, application notes, social media, and search engines.  You will ensure visibility and performance of online presence and be involved in other aspects of the integrated marketing strategies. You will use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing campaign performance and track specific metrics to determine levels of success, as well as generating monthly reports on digital activity and performance.
  • Create and deliver digital marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and sales lead generation, including content creation, web site management, SEO, Google AdWords and LinkedIn advert management, blog post creation.
  • Prepare and distribute emails and e-newsletters and follow best practices for social media marketing and ensure consistency in the brand messaging.
  • Manage web content, and optimise the website to increase visibility, online traffic, and drive lead generation.
  • Support with internal and sales partner communications.
  • Track marketing metrics and analyse digital data to measure marketing success.
  • Support / organise webinars and online events, support with Trade Show organisation and launch promotional offers and events.
Ideally you are educated to degree level in a Marketing or Science/Technical field.  You will need to have proven experience in the following: using marketing tools such as Hootsuite, SEMrush, and Canva, developing and running Google AdWords PPC campaigns, developing and managing social media advertising, specifically LinkedIn.  You’ll need to be up to date with digital marketing trends and developments and be creative in devising informative, engaging and motivational digital campaigns.  If you can demonstrate a track record with managing and delivering social media and digital marketing campaigns and in managing and maintaining company web sites, with proficiency in using website analytics tools (SEMrush), and marketing software and using SharePoint intranet/extranet sites please get in touch.  Some knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) would also be desirable.
