ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
PERTH OFFICE / TRAVEL SCOTLAND WIDE – £40,000 to £50,000 PLUS BENS

With a base in Perth and clients across Scotland and other locations, ESS Recruit’s client is an industry leading engineering services company delivering top quality structural, mechanical and electrical projects for blue-chip manufacturers in a range of industries.  The company has recently won a significant amount of new work taking them through to the end of 2023 and beyond.  In order to deliver on this, they now need to recruit an experienced Project Manager.

The Engineering Project Manager will work collaboratively with other functional stakeholders internally and externally to deliver projects.   You will be responsible for supporting the whole lifecycle of engineering projects from concept to execution.  Managing multiple projects at a time, whilst ensuring successful delivery through planning, estimating, cost control, design, development, procurement, quality control, problem solving and progress reporting.   You will act as a key point of contact for all stakeholders including Clients, Suppliers and Consultants.   Other key responsibilities are likely to include:

• Take responsibility for the safety of all staff and stakeholders of the business at all times, both on customers’ sites and at the business’s premises.
• Applying an account management approach to key customers, whilst identifying and building relationships with new customers.
• Developing detailed Engineering Scopes and Commercial Proposals in collaboration with the wider Company team for major projects, deploying a commercial approach to pricing and risk factors.
• The successful candidate will most likely be educated to Degree qualified in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and will ideally have a recognised Project Management qualification.

Given the client and commercial facing aspects of this role, travel will be required, with site attendance and management.  Project management and SMSTS certification advantageous.  Where necessary a company pool vehicle or mileage will be provided.  An excellent base salary up to £50,000 plus benefits.   This represents a superb opportunity to join a forward thinking and fast growing technology project services business.
