£40,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience + Car + Pension + Bonus + Death in Service Benefits
Location: Perth + up to 2 days/week WFH
With a base in Perth and clients across Scotland and other locations, ESS Recruit’s client is an industry leading engineering services company delivering top quality structural, mechanical and electrical projects for blue-chip manufacturers in a range of industries. In this role you will work closely within a collaborative team of six project managers.

Main Responsibilities & duties:
The Company works nationwide from its Head Office in Scotland. Travel will be required within the role with site attendance and management. A company vehicle or mileage will be provided and please note overnight stays are relatively infrequent. An excellent base salary is supported with a company car / car allowance and enhanced benefits scheme including bonus. Main Responsibilities & duties:
- Prepare and submit estimates in line with company guidelines
- Obtain materials and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare take-offs from tender documents received including new design and build projects
- Organise and track market price of equipment, material and construction costs
- Review tender documentation and client specifications, in order to prepare accurate cost estimation
- Work with in-house draughtsmen for initial design and review of proposed projects
- Prepare handover documentation for successful projects and attend internal pre-start meetings
- Attend customer site meetings and tender where required
- Strong track record of estimating mechanical and structural engineering projects.
- An engineering background, probably being degree qualified, and a strong understanding / expertise of mechanical, electrical and structural engineering principles.
