Based in West Lothian, our client is a niche manufacturing business with a blue chip, global client base. Continued commercial success means their business is now seeking to hire a Project Manager to compliment the current team.  The Global Installation Manager will play a critical role in achieving business objectives, by ensuring overall management of all installations, ensuring that you are providing the best service.  The successful candidate will be involved in a senior position within the company and will have full accountability and ownership for global installation projects. Working closely with the inhouse production, design and sales teams you will deliver a seamless hand over from preparation of goods, to shipping, and receipt on client site.

Through effective management of small teams of skilled, specialist installers, you will deliver to project timescales, ensuring contracts are delivered on time, on budget and exceed client expectations.
Full support and training will be given as it is imperative you understand the design, manufacturing, assembly and quality sign off process in line with the scope of works and specification.

NB – This role will have global travel and as such the successful candidate can expect to be working in both the office and on client site. You must hold a full UK passport and be able to travel freely as required. There is full Travel, Accommodation and Subsidence allowance when away for work.
Typically, there are 10 installations underway at any time. These range from small 1-day UK install projects to major international project lasting several months.  You will however be self-managing and to a large extent in control of your diary and the need for travel will diminish as the role develops.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the successful delivery and installation of projects simultaneously, ensuring that all are suitably resourced, completed on budget, on time and within scope.
• Ensure the Client Experience benchmark is met across all aspects of the project delivery, realising our installations efforts are often the most client-facing component of the project, and represent our company image and reputation across the globe.
• Work with Project Management, Design Engineering, Production and Commercial departments to ensure effective planning of logistics, installation programme, creation and management of Risk Assessment & Method Statements and resource plans.
• To build, develop and coach a world class installation team.
• Risk management throughout the delivery and installation phase to ensure mitigation, escalation and business approval as needed.
• Installation budget ownership
• Oversee Health and Safety Management on sites.
• Influence departments within the business to ensure smooth running of projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients and internal teams alike.
• Coordination of internal resources and third parties to ensure the successful execution of the project.

You will need to have good experience of contract/project management and proven organisational and commercial skills, along with experience in managing customer expectations and opportunities.  You’ll need a proactive attitude with pride displayed in your work and a good understanding of project financial management with experience of managing multi trades and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
