Reporting directly to the Packing Supervisor, the successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the organisation department, acting as a designate in the Supervisor’s absence. In addition, the Lead Technical Operator will ensure the correct set up and running of a variety of machines, in an ISO class 8 environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, changeover and running of packing assembly, blister and carton machines in an ISO Class 8 environment
• Basic fault identification to resolve set up issues/machine errors, ensuring the smooth running of the packaging equipment
• Provide cover for the Packing Supervisor during periods of absence which will include organising workload and batch documentation, stock management and SAGE system control.
• Monitor critical packaging process parameters and act on deviations within the area to ensure quality and efficient production
• GDP compliant completion of all QMS documentation including: NCR’s, batch records and all other paperwork relevant to manufacturing
• Participate in root cause investigations, projects and department improvements
• Support the Packing Supervisor to drive an accountable and positive culture by ensuring compliance to SOP’s, Safety, Hygiene, Environmental & Quality procedures
• Take ownership to ensure all housekeeping duties are completed.

Experience:

• Experience of working within an ISO Class 8 or similar environment with an understanding of GMP/GDP requirements
• The ability to work as part of an effective and efficient team
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to think logically and solve problems
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under own initiative
• Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing business
• IT skills including Excel and Word.
