MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
BASED HAMILTON/EAST KILBRIDE EXCELLENT SALARY NEGOTIABLE DOE AND BENEFITS – POTENTIAL FOR FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS / WEEK
Based in Hamilton and East Kilbride, ESS Recruit’s client is a global high growth electronics manufacturing and engineering business. Over the last ten years the business has grown significantly and can proudly boast a world class international customer base with operations in the USA, UK and Asia. After a significant multi-million-pound investment late 2022 to drive new product development and substantial growth in people and operations, the business is needs to grow their administration and financial competence; as such, they are now looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join an established finance team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the management accountant will be primary responsibility for the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts across each group entity and producing consolidated management accounts and our month end board pack. This is a newly created role and will suit a candidate who is able to help establish controls and processes to support the management accounts function as well as assisting with month in-month out forecasting and reporting. Key responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate is educated to degree calibre and holds a chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA). We would be especially keen to hear from qualified Management or Company Accountants who have worked in manufacturing, multiple sites or regions and/or dealt in multiple currencies. Any experience of helping grow and develop the people, processes and capability of a broader finance function would be a significant advantage. As would a capability to seamlessly help onboard and integrate new ERP platforms and other new IT systems or capabilities.

- Accurate and timely preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts of main UK trading company and smaller foreign subsidiaries.
- Monthly Variance analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of board packs and forecasts for board meetings.
- Assist in the production of the annual forecast and other periodic forecasting, ad hoc reports, and analysis of business activity.
- Responsibility for establishing and producing regular cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts of the company and its subsidiaries and assist in management of the external audit.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and implement across the business
- Support project work as required such as Product Profitability analysis, Job Costing, Improvement of finance functions and other ad hoc work.
- Support the wider finance team and assist in the development of other less senior members of the team.
