ESS Recruit’s client is a global high growth electronics manufacturing and engineering business. Over the last ten years the business has grown significantly and can proudly boast a world class international customer base with operations in the USA, UK and Asia. After a significant multi-million pound investment to drive new product development and substantial growth in people and operations, the business now wants to invest in the key hire of a Process Engineer.

Our client is looking to hire someone with previous Process Engineering experience within the Semiconductor industry. You will oversee and take ownership of improving the production processes. They are looking for a versatile and reliable person who can be flexible and adapt to the business requirements.
  • Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and optimising productivity.
  • Process development and transfer to production.
  • Evaluate materials and product performance.
  • Work with the design team to characterise new processes for new products.
  • Preparation of all relevant reports and documents.
  • Contributes to departmental compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Supporting Process Manager and take ownership of assigned activities.
Ideally you will have experience of Lithography or Etching processes, along with Quality and Continuous Improvement.  Instrumentation or Metrology / Plating experience and knowledge of ERP and working with contractors and suppliers also required.  You should be educated to degree level in a scientific or engineering discipline and have good computer skills and data analysis, experience of SPC and Six Sigma.  An engineering or manufacturing background with the ability to troubleshoot process and product performance issues, strong verbal, written and organisational skills.
