CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

Based in Cumbernauld, ESS’ client is part a multi-national group, who design, manufacture, build and test of gas analysers and gas emission monitoring systems. Their equipment is found in a range of industrial settings and applications, including petrochem, FMCG and hazardous engineering environments. As part of their ongoing ramp up they now need to make the key hire of a Product Cybersecurity Engineer.
Reporting into the Software Manager the successful applicant will will be responsible for the end-to-end security of our Gas Analysis products. In this position, you will work with a wide range of technologies including network protocols, data communication protocols, web interfaces, cryptographic algorithms and embedded devices. This engineer will work to ensure that our products are developed and delivered securely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure security of Gas Analysis products within the framework of industrial automation and control systems.
- Provide technical analysis of product vulnerabilities and articulate impact to end users.
- Execute essential cybersecurity elements of product development processes.
- Performing cybersecurity technical impact analysis of product changes.
- Support technical cybersecurity certification activities for Gas Analysis products.
- Ensure SDLC is followed for product development to maintain certification compliance.
- Co-ordinate security scans, fuzz and penetration testing on products. Analyze results and ensure vulnerabilities are addressed .
- Lead threat modeling activities for Gas Analysis products.
