Based in Cumbernauld ESS’ client is part a multi-national group, who design, manufacture, build and test of gas analysers and gas emission monitoring systems. Their equipment is found in a range of industrial settings and applications, including petrochem, FMCG and hazardous engineering environments. As part of their ongoing ramp up they now need to make the key hire of a Production Software Engineer. .
Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager you will be This role is focused on developing, maintaining, and improving internal production and quality test software for the organization. This software is used in equipment testing in production as well as continuous quality improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing testing and production software related to product developed for customer use
- Develop new modules of testing procedures in a collaborative environment with engineering, operations, and quality
- Collaborate with teams to implement best practices for internal cybersecurity[AR[1]
- Computer Science Background
- Windows-based Programmer
- Able to switch between Delphi and C++
- Object-oriented language
- Familiar with RS 232, RS485, TCP/IP, AK protocol, Digital I/O
- Familiar with Modbus[AR[3] and/or CANbus
- Server/database SQLite, access, excel, Microsoft SQL server
- DAQ system (filter test measurement)
- Support network setup and troubleshooting
- Specify hardware and replacement schedule for capital requirements
