WAREHOUSE AND STORES PROFESSIONAL

ESS Recruit’s client is based in Livingston. Well established, they are a high technology equipment supplier into a range of sectors; including, medical devices, electronics and oil and gas. Currently enjoying a period of high growth they need to make the key hire of a Warehouse and Stores Professional as part of a major expansion.
Reporting into the Stock Control Supervisor, the Warehouse and Stores Person will be responsible for running a busy incoming and outgoing finished goods stores and logistics function. The complexity of the design, build, assembly and test of the product and equipment range, ensures a complex bill of materials, and a steady stream of incoming parts and sub assemblies. From an outgoing perspective, our client is shipping products to clients across the world, ensuring time and care needs to be taken from a packaging and shipment perspective.

Core responsibilities include:
- Taking delivery of all goods and supplies
- Helping design and implement continuous improvement into a warehousing environment
- Recording stock control on a modern ERP based software system
- Overseeing replenishment and working closely with procurement and planning to support production
- Carrying out regular stock control audits
- Ensuring a 5s type approach to warehouse layout and environment
