WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE / PACKER
BASED LIVINGSTON
HOURLY RATE £10.42, IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE
ESS Recruit’s client is based in Livingston and they are a well established high technology equipment supplier into a range of sectors; including, medical devices, electronics and oil and gas.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will responsible for the safe handling and packing of the high tech products. You will ensure that the goods are undamaged before safely wrapping and packaging them and loading them onto transport lorries. Keeping an up-to-date inventory of packing material required and providing support within the logistics team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You must be able to read, speak and write English and have basic IT skills/knowledge. It would be great if you have work experience as an Order Picker, Warehouse Assistant or similar role within other parts of the supply chain.
This is an excellent opportunity to work at a very well established Scottish OEM business going through extensive growth globally. They work 37.5 hours a week flexi time to suit you. This role is likely for around 1 months duration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Packing, weighing and labelling completed orders for shipping or storage.
- Liaise with Logistics Assistant for shipping information/requirements daily/weekly
- Establishing and ordering packaging requirements weekly/monthly, including crates, based on shipping schedule to ensure availability in timely manner
- Following SOPs to package goods safely and securely using industrial packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, and bubble wrap.
- Identifying ways to pack goods uniformly and optimise packaging requirements
- Maintaining packaging supply levels based on supply lead times
- Using warehouse machinery to move goods around the packaging areas and assist in loading of collection vehicles, including customer arranged own transport
- Ensuring requirements of both import and export documentation are adhered to.
- Ensuring proof of collection notes are received for all shipments leaving the factory.
- Support and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations and quality standards
