WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
PERTH – £30,000 + ( DOE)

With a Headquarters and metal fabrication facility in Perth, ESS Recruit’s client is a fast-growing turnkey engineering services business, supporting a range of industry sectors and clients in FMCG and materials handling.  The business has doubled in size over the last 5 years and they now need to hire a Quality Health Safety and Environment Manager (QHSE). 

Reporting into the Workshop Manager, this is a hands-on role meaning candidates must have experience in welding and steel fabrication in an engineering environment. Preferably with experience of stainless-steel pipework. 

We are seeking applications from proactive individuals who will relish the challenge of working withing a dynamic growing organisation.

Practical knowledge required:

• Welding codes, practices, and procedures
• Drawing interpretation
• Fabrication, cutting and drilling of stainless steel, carbon and special steels and aluminium
• Material control
• Quality control and test procedures
• Workshop health and safety practices and legislation
• Team motivation, direction, supervision, problem solving and solution development
• Coaching, training, and knowledge sharing

The successful candidate can expect to work closely with the Workshop Manager and managing workshop teams, implementing correct processes and practices across the organisation, coordinating, and overseeing workshop operations, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.

You will be joining a highly established and recognised business, the successful candidate will benefit from a good base salary circa £30,000 plus (DOE) and company bonus scheme.
